About
enihongo is a free website for learning Japanese. Short lessons, usable on a phone. The site is available in Vietnamese and English.
How it works
- No account needed. Your progress is saved in your browser and can be downloaded as a backup.
- A light static site with no ads and no tracking cookies.
- Visits are counted with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and does not track individuals.
- Once a page has been opened you can read it again offline.
- All content is written by the project.
Data sources
- Stroke order: KanjiVG by Ulrich Apel, licensed CC BY-SA 3.0. The selected data lives in
data/strokes.jsonand keeps this license. - Font Zen Maru Gothic: SIL OFL license.
- Pronunciation: uses the Japanese voice already on your device, so quality depends on the device.
